“On The Wing”
One of the greatest thrill’s I’ve had was to bring my Carving to a release of a rehabilitated Barred Owl. Jane Kelly let me get a picture of my Carving next to her & the live Owl. She was telling me what sex my Carving was and what it had been eating. Totally amazing experience. Look at the smile on my face.

Observers and Photographers should practice good ethics by keeping a respectful distance from any bird or wildlife. In general, if the bird reacts to your presence, you are too close. It’s time to back up.
Owl Viewing & Photography Ethics, Observe without Disturbing.
It is possible to love owls to death. Be responsible, and give owls the privacy they need.
Asking if you see any wildlife in your area could you please message me if you’re willing to let me come over and take pictures of them.
I’m specifically looking for Owls.
Through Jane Kelly I met a number of wonderful, wildlife photographers which inspired me to pursue the art of wildlife photography. Studying these birds in the wild has helped me with my wood carving immensely.
